As the end of the year 2025 approached, I teamed up with Pasts and Dod Pieci to create a set of Christmas stamps, one of which is dedicated to this year's charity marathon goal. When you buy it, one euro will go to an important cause – helping to pay for rehabilitation for children and young people with neurological movement disorders.
As Dod Pieci this year is also raising awareness of the wider issue of physical inactivity in society, the entire stamp set is designed as a contrast to the traditional festive time spent sitting around tables and sinking into cozy sofas afterwards. Instead, we invite you to get moving, go outside, and do cool, good things.
The main character on the stamps is a well-known winter item that helps both to keep warm and to do a lot of good – colorful knitted gloves (which, of course, are also a reference to Dod Pieci). The entire series symbolically depicts one busy day before Christmas, with each stamp becoming darker as winter evening approaches. We start the day by greeting our friends, forest animals, and birds. Then we prepare everything we need to enjoy winter during the holidays – we flood the skating rink, sharpen our skates, and wax our skis. After that, it's time to clear the snow, bring in firewood, and decorate the Christmas tree, the house, and the yard. And finally, we wholeheartedly support those who really need help right now.
Concept and design.
