A logotype and visual identity for "Historical Latvian Lands", a program of the Latvian National Centre for Culture. Latvia comprises five historical regions: Kurzeme, Zemgale, Vidzeme, Latgale, and Sēlija. The main aim of this program is to preserve the cultural and historical environment of these lands and ensure sustainable development for the future. The elements of the logo were inspired by the heraldry of our historical regions, with the main metaphor being a shield, symbolizing the preservation and protection of our heritage.
